BLACK TAK MOLYPLEX GREASE

DESCRIPTION

BLACK TAK is a severe duty mine and quarrying grease possessing superior heavy duty industrial performance lubrication characteristics. It was specifically formulated for a wide range of equipment operating under heavy loads in the most difficult environments. The extreme pressure and anti-wear properties enable the grease to give long service life and boundary protection under high load and shock loading conditions from low temperature to very high temperature environments. These special characteristics of shear stability, combined with the inclusion of effective rust, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, and a very high level of tackiness and adhesive additives, ensure this grease is the preferred recommendation for mine and quarry equipment in both wet and high dust conditions.

SUMMARY OF BENEFITS

A lithium complex grease, blended from selected base stocks incorporating high extreme pressure, water resistant additives, optimized molybdenum disulphide plus oxidation, corrosion and wear inhibitors supported by a high level of tackiness. It provides lubricating protection for operations up to 200oC. Its ability to prevent scuffing and reduce wear under high load and shock load conditions, together with its excellent resistance to shear and high temperature operation, makes it preferred over multi-purpose greases. With extended service, it maintains its original consistency. It will not thicken since it resists oxidation. It will not thin out because it is shear resistant. WATER RESISTANCE. Where water wash out and contaminating influences cannot be avoided, even at elevated temperatures, effective lubrication is maintained because of the excellent water resistance of the complex base. In these situations it also gives protection against rusting and corrosion. ADHESIVE AND COHESIVE. It incorporates a very high level of tackiness in order to resist “SQUEEZE OUT” from surfaces requiring lubrication under load conditions or where there is excessive clearances in pins and bushes. Even the best grease can not provide protection if it is unable to remain in situ.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Gulf Western BLACK TAK is designed primarily for use in the mining industry where it is recommended for the lubrication of slow moving plain and roller bearings under high load. It also provides extraordinary performance for earthmoving plant where long lubrication intervals, water, dust and vibration protection is required or where high impact or sliding surface wear is a problem.

STORAGE

All packages should be stored under cover to avoid the possible ingress of water and the obliteration of drum markings. Products should not be stored above 60°C.
